Expression Designs

Moving Your Web to the Fast Lane

Expression Web  Designer

The purpose of this site is to be an example of what you can accomplish with Microsoft  Expression Web Designer® and a bit of practice. This was created using the May 2006 CTP and will be featured in tutorials from http://by-expression.com and responses to questions posted on the by-expression forums over the course of Community Technology preview the index page of this site will be archived to provide you with a record of what was done when and with what version. Since this is the first public preview there is nothing to archive yet. When there is expect links to show up in one of the two side columns. Which one has not been decided yet since this is very much a work in process.

FWIW, this site is using a slightly and I do mean slightly modified version of one of the website templates that are included with EWD. Over time the look of this site may change quite a bit but since it is being used as examples in the articles on EWD at by-expression.com the templates site seemed a good place  to start.

Note: one of the slight changes made to this site that was required for the W3C CSS validation service to validate the stylesheet was to change the document encoding from UTF-8 to Western European ISO (iso-8859-1) since the validator had a problem with the BOM (Byte Order Mark) at the beginning of the fle.
